Burrall Sanders
Founder & Consultant
Burrall has extensive experience building, maintaining, repairing, upgrading, and flying composite-based experimental aircraft. Recognizing that although the fleet of canards found worldwide had a great reputation, there was a need for hands-on support and service. Using his background in equipment maintenance, Burrall dedicated himself to providing this service by founding Freeflight Composites. His experience includes 2000+ hours of flying canard aircraft and building his own aircraft including a QI, Vari-Eze, and the Cozy IIIx he currently flies. Burrall understands that canards are great planes, built from a great design, and that they lend themselves very well to the recognized upgrades and improvements learned through the hundreds of thousand of hours flown by the fleet. Burrall has made a career of working to improve the safety, reliability, and utility of the aircraft while preserving the fundamental qualities that make these aircraft so desirable.
